Are there any ADC people here? If anyone is out there lets start sharing info. I'm new to the business and am looking for any advice. Does anyone have a contract that you use? What do you charge for milage? Does anyone charge for milage to check traps?? Lets get talking.

I've been charging $50.00 set fee and $25.00 per animal. When I set I check out the area and usually put out 6-10 live traps. I usually just exchange the traps when something is in it. I leave them for about 7 days. If the customer monitors the traps I will leave them longer. With the new gas prices I'm need to raise my price. I need to charge milage to check traps. I was wondering what everyone else does?

Hey spike To answer your question on what to charge thing is to look at your area and see what you can charge but don't over charge your self or you will not get any or none of the jobs you bid on . The fee for animals is differnt do to the size and what you have to do with it each state is differnt as well so hard to say charge what your charging . Everyone does it differnt some charge a flat rate fee and some charge by the animal and yes charge milage even if it is one way so you need to charge for about everything so don't cut your self short . Charge what ever your state allows you on your tax's if it is 44.5 cents a mile charge that if more then use the more . This isn't a free service like a lot of people think it is .

I don't know how much I'll get back from the show. But i would have done better if another control operator didn't weasel his way in and plug his business on some one else's dime.
